Wild Side of Mozambique follows Tusk & Tyre along Africa’s eastern edge – deep-sand coastal tracks, flooded pans, palm-lined camps and wild Indian Ocean storms. Expect raw village moments, elephant country, river crossings and off-grid beach camps where bush and sea meet in one untamed frontier.
Above & Below journeys from Malawi’s misty high plateaus down to the warm, clear waters of the lake. Nyika-style grasslands above the clouds, slow mountain passes, village markets and hidden tracks to quiet lakeshore camps – one story tying together the heights and depths of Malawi.
The Namibia 25-Day Epic is a full-scale desert journey across Kaokoland, Marienfluss, Epupa Falls, Etosha and the Atlantic edge. Remote riverbeds, Himba lands, red dunes, long gravel highways and wild coastlines where storms roll in off the ocean and silence becomes its own character.
Exploring Tanzania takes Tusk & Tyre into big-sky country – red-dust tracks, acacia plains, crater rims, baobab valleys and riverfront camps. Long days on the road, elephant and lion country, village life along the way and off-grid nights under East Africa’s stars.
Land of Stone & Thunder heads into Zimbabwe’s rugged heart – granite outcrops, towering storms, ancient bushveld and long dirt roads cutting through some of Africa’s most dramatic terrain. Elephant country, remote river crossings and highlands where thunder rolls across stone.
There’s one more line on the map I’m not ready to talk about yet. When the planning board stops changing, it will land here first — another dust road, another border, another story from the wild side of Africa.

I'm Corné — the story, the lens, and the dust on the dashboard behind Tusk & Tyre Overlanding, an African overlanding YouTube channel built from real 4x4 travel and off-grid camping across Southern Africa. For me, overlanding isn’t a trip… it’s a calling.
I’ve never been one for overseas travel. I’d rather drive 20 hours into Botswana than fly 20 hours across the world — because the African bush gives me something nothing else ever has: silence, wildness, connection, and a reminder of how small we are under a sky full of burning stars.
Tusk & Tyre is my way of sharing that with you — the raw moments, wildlife encounters, family memories, breakdowns, sunsets that make you teary, and the dust roads that define true overlanding Africa. It's where 4x4 travel, storytelling and off-grid camping meet.
